Who we represent

Chartered  in 1919, the Portland Federation of School Professionals, PFSP Local 111, is the oldest AFT (American Federation of Teachers) affiliate west of the Mississippi River.

Representing nearly 1,400 Portland Public School District No. 1 classified employees, PFSP is comprised of

What we do

Collective bargaining representation and contract enforcement

As the second largest bargaining unit in PPS, PFTCE provides effective collective bargaining representation, as well as contract enforcement for our members.

Promoting career development

Offering strength through unity, we endeavor to achieve a high level of professionalism by promoting career development and training for each individual member.

Improving the educational environment

We oppose all forms of bias in education employment, and we are constantly working for passage and retention of just laws which will improve the educational environment for students and employees.
